The Embassy of France to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, along with Sarasavi Bookshop organised their first short story contest to celebrate the beauty of reading all around the world. The contest was open to all citizens of Sri Lanka and the submitted short stories had to include the the quote by the French author Victor Hugo, "Let's love always! Let's love again!" (from Les Contemplations). This book was compiled with the top ten shortlisted stories, including the three winning stories by Ciara Mandulee Mendis, Ravisha Hapuarachchi, and Ashfa Nazeem.
