Gabriel is retired and living his best life with nothing much to do.

People dream about retirement. Retired doesn’t mean you are old and decayed, but that is the phase in life, where you dream about traveling the world, eating your favorite food, sipping your favorite cocktail, and partying until there’s no tomorrow. Drake daydreams about trying to find his way toward this mirage of retirement. Although the job assignment is for the entirety of life, Drake believes that he has a good chance to retire soon considering his reputation and work ethic.

He’s in his prime, a high-end performer in his department, and a mentor to his peers. Now, he is finally ready to submit his resignation and find his way to retirement. Before he could negotiate the request with his boss he is instructed to take up an assignment of Almeida in Kerala.

Another night shift arrives, and Drake carefully prepares for his task. Everyone is asleep so there is nothing much to do…Until the flicker of light from Shanon Almeida’s room got his attention. She was looking at herself standing in front of the mirror, she was in pain. She was looking at her past wounds until she noticed the reflection of Drake looking at her.
