The Factual Appraisal remains to this day the only rebuttal of any leght to the OISL Report ("Report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Investigation on Sri Lanka") Therefore, it is the best available means for members of the public to know what the exact charges of war crimes and other crimes are that the international community is levelling against Sri Lanka, and also some of the arguments against them.
It is hoped that this book would be useful to Sri Lankans in public discussions of the policy that the Government should adopt on UNHRC Resolution 30/1 of October 2015 which is ultimately based on the allegations of war crimes and other crimes contained in the OISL Report.
