The haunting of a broken heart

Promises shattered like a fist through a mirror, hearts kept in the freezer for safekeeping and lightning trapped in fragile glass bottles... All led to one thing – a haunted heart.

Dear Reader,
There are times in life where you find yourself grieving for memories, painstakingly following the five stages of grief, only for the final stage – acceptance – to be as harrowing as its predecessors.

And so you find ways to cope, clutching the pen like it’s a lifeline, turning your tears into crimson words while the pale grey smoke envelopes you and a kaleidoscope of colours rupture your mind.

So take this journey through my heart, enjoy a meet and greet with the ghosts who reside there and try not to judge me too harshly.
